PACPOL represents the next stage in the evolution of regional policing cooperation in the Pacific, bringing together the legacy of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) and the Pacific Policing Initiative (PPI) to form a new regional identity.
The PACPOL Constitution was endorsed by Pacific Police Chiefs at the 53rd PICP Conference in October 2026.
The transition from PICP and PPI to PACPOL marks an important milestone in the ongoing evolution of Pacific policing cooperation.
Further information regarding PACPOL's establishment and future arrangements will be published on this website as decisions are endorsed and become available.
Noting that this website is being used as a temporary PACPOL website during the transition period, pre-existing PICP content including news and event information remains available on this page. Content will continue to be reviewed and updated as information relating to PACPOL's establishment becomes available and endorsed.
